Notes: Two of these small puffballs were found on the side of a dead log. There was no stalk and the area of attachment was about 1/2" The white surface was a bit wrinkled in spots, but there were no spines, spots or excrescences. They were shaped like a flattened spheroid and were about 2" across and 1" deep. The cross section was snow white and featureless.
