Just a thought – you did check the latex colour? And any green staining was previously present or post-damage?

green staining is not strongly pronounced, stalk slightly scrobiculate (very juv fruitbody)

BTW does the stalk have scrobiculae?

rarely stains green at all. Probably not the same as the american “deliciosus”.

I see no green staining on these specimens
