Found in D6B, a zone dominated by Balsam fir (Abies balsamea) but containing some birch and maple, in very close proximity to several other interesting fungi.
A couple of your standard-issue woodland red Russulas, except … gills a tinge more yellowish than typical for those. (Contrast with the adjacent stipe.)
