I found some that I considered as A. abruptibulbus last year in the woods.
They were delicious! This one was also in a wooded area.

and I didn’t think to check for staining either.
I think A. placomyces has neither, but probably
won’t know what it is for sure now. It’s now an
ex-mushroom.
