Observation 5272: Hygrocybe nigrescens (Quél.) Kühner

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Fruiting amongst Douglas fir, bay and madrone. Arora, mykoweb suggest that this would only be H. conica if found with redwood or Monterey cypress. The area where I found it was mostly oak so I’m going with H. nigrescens. No viscidity anywhere but not sure if that was due to dry weather.
