Hi Tim, I’ve been enjoying looking at your photos and those from the other regular contributors from Australia.

I’ve put together a list of Fungimap targets species that have photos in Mushroom Observer. There are quite a few gaps. I’ve recently added a couple of the missing ones (such as Hypocreopsis amplectens) and eventually, it would be great to get all the target species up on MO. Its great to see multiple observations of particular species to get an idea of the range of variation, and of course the geographic range. Things that pop up on MO also give us an idea of what works as a target species (i.e. readily recognisable in the field) and we plan to keep adding to the list of target species.

Thanks for the ID. It’s good to see you on Mushroom Observer. There are lots of Australian finds here that would benefit from your input (as you have undoubtedly already found out).
