Notes:
Three of them in a small area, two of them on an old stump, in Zone 38. (The second photo has a very immature one at bottom left; magnify beyond thumbnail to see it.)

The stump may be red, white, or jack pine, or birch, maple, or Balsam fir. I don’t know.
