Found in Zone 48: a small cluster of C. alboviolaceus, a species I was concerned might be locally extinct after the destruction of Zone 11 this spring.
It was under mixed hardwoods. I didn’t see any especially close but the zone is full of aspen trees, some mature, and I suspect these to be the host.
