I am not sure that var. bonetii is any different than P. aztecorum. I don’t consider a small spore size difference to be all that taxonomically significant.

Alan, is there any chance this could be var. bonetii? At 3480 meters it’s in the 3,200 to 4,000 m elevation range for var. aztecorum given by Guzmán (1983), but the spore lengths look a little on the low side.
