There were several of these, mainly near the west end of Zone 15 but the particularly badly chewed-up specimen was closer to Zone 15’s center. (Zone 15 is the narrow strip of woods that extends NE from this observation’s GPS coordinates, if you view the area in Google Maps. It’s about 150m long. It’s dominated by jack pine, contains aspen, and is well-drained.)
