Observation 53912: Cortinarius (Pers.) Gray
When: 2010-09-27
(45.801999° -77.137939° )
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Definitely a cort; looks like the pinkish/purplish-tinged species that has previously been common in Zone 01. This pair was found in Zone 48. The common denominator there is aspen (Populus tremuloides), though both Zones contain a variety of other trees (notably Acer sp. and Pinus spp.).
