Observation 5413: Russula Pers.

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Pileus was sticky, with a slightly tan umbo. Fruiting along with Lactarius alnicola amongst live oak and valley oak. I’m afraid the stickiness was a deterrent to tasting it! The spores were not quite white but not orange or yellow. I’d call them antique white.
