Observation 5417: Pluteus cervinus (Schaeff.) P. Kumm.
When: 2007-12-06
No herbarium specimen

Notes: This was convex when collected, opened out overnight in the refrigerator. Pileus sticky and moist. Margins were very pale at the very edges. Gills were white, thick, close, attached. The stipe shredded easily. Pileus was 6.4cm across, stipe was 7.2cm long and 1.2cm wide at the apex. Spores were a dirty pink. Found fruiting next to a lone Hypholoma fasciculare, presumably on the same wood. Oak, redwood were both present.
