Collection location: Blue Ridge Parkway, Jackson Co., North Carolina, USA [Click for map]
These were growing in mostly coniferous woods, probably near red spruce at around 5600 ft.
The spores were ~ 8.1-10.0 X 6.0-7.5 microns and moderately warted.
Wasn’t thinking Cortinarius at the time so I didn’t spend much time on them.
