Observation 54877: Lactarius griseus Peck

When: 2010-10-04

Collection location: Claytor Lake State Park, Pulaski Co., Virginia, USA [Click for map]

Who: Mark Prosser (mark prosser)

No specimen available

Small in size at this point, with these specimens, newly emerging at 1-2 inches with the largest having a 2-3 inch stem and still connected to the log, saprobic, growing in a scattered fashion (with the other specimens picked off the log and added to the picture for comparison, etc.). Any help in identifying which groups are possibilities is appreciated.
