Observation 54961: Bolbitius reticulatus (Pers. :Fr.) Rick.
When: 2010-10-06
Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: I think this is the same Bolbitius as in obs. 50091. Growing in the same place.

**Note from Matt Sherman: My micrometer’s divisions are equal to 1.15 microns. Originally, I measure by how many divisions the spore is long and wide then I have to multiply those measurements by 1.15 then I get my real measurement. But no need to worry with that, I already recalculated the measurements for you. You will see some odd looking numbers because of this, like 12.7 and 10.9, just remember that it’s because I had to multiply my original measurements by 1.15.

I viewed the pileipellis and found very similar structures compared to the structures from my specimen (Observation (70000)).

I also looked at the gills edges and did not find the balloon-like structures that were found in my specimen. I did find cheilocystidia though!
I need to find where I put the spore measurements for my Observation (70000) so I can compare the two observation’s spore sizes.
