Recognized by sight: Though this is the most common of fungi, I wanted to put a picture of this version that i have seen on occasion. Bright orange red coming out of cracks on hardwood.

This is not very common on the West Coast, but we do find it. It would be nice if you cold follow the fruiting and post more photos as it matures.
