Recognized by sight: I know it from Mississippi. But I don’t know that it occurs in Mexico. That’s my best guess anyway. elongated hexagonal pores. and white underside.

In costa rica, i saw more than a few hexogonal pored mushrooms. Considering the cap for this mushroom is usually orange or slightly faded at best when fresh, which this mushroom IS, i’d have to suggest that this is a different species. Wonder if you still have it to do scope work and see something different.
