Collection location: Swans Crossing State Forest, New South Wales, Australia [Click for map]
This Fungi was in a small scattered group of about 4-5 specimens. The body shape is shell shape and the upper face was a lovely velvety brown colour and texture.
The size of the body was about 20mm (roughly the size of a mans thumbnail.)
In the second image I placed a similar specimen above the original with the underside face exposed. The fine display on the outer edge of the fungi is also shown.
The stems were short.
