Observation 55583: Leucocoprinus brebissonii (Godey) Locq.
When: 2010-10-15
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Though this is the first time i had seen this mushroom, i took few photos. This very small white gilled coprinus was found fruiting solitarily among pine needles and mixed hardwoods. About 4cm tall, the cap has a black dot in the center with gray brown scales radiating out to the margin. The cap can split like an inocybe when fully opened. It has a very fragile stalk with a little white ring.
