Observation 55584: Aspropaxillus giganteus (Sowerby) Kühner & Maire

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Im having problems placing this between robusta and gigantea because i did not do a spore print. It smelled like a regular clitocybe, nasty… but not offensive. The cap did not turn vase shaped, but DID have close crowded gills. The stalk was a little like a bolete! somewhat roughened up. These were not terribly old , as their were some white ones, but you can see the red/tan darkening..so im leaning towards gigantea.
