Recognized by sight: Another reddening agaricus. These were found in mixed hardwoods. Rather fragile with long stems. Brown disc in center of cap, and light coffee color to the margin. Stipe long, striated and rough..weak. Straight and even, with a small bulb if any Fleeting ring to none. Pink to dark brown gills with veil material on cap. Smell, chemical’ish? not pleasant
Based on chemical features: KOH yellow on cap BUT black-brown on stipe!
