Recognized by sight: Growing from the same conifer wood chip pile as other observations that have been verified as having clamps.

Recognized by sight: these caps are dead ringers for typical magnus material (very dark, wrinkled caps); without the microscopy to argue the point, that’s what I’d call them.

McClatchie’s description of P. magnus calls for a much lighter pileus color.
