Observation 5601: Crepidotus amygdalosporus Kühner
When: 2007-12-09
Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: 9/3/2008 – Getting to these, after checking under the scope at Aug 6th -

Under the scope getting some details, the first micro-shot here is the gill edge at 400x in Meltzer’s. Here there is cheilocystidia which are thick and blunt.

The second micro-shot here is cap tissue with spores at 1000x in Meltzer’s. Here the spores can be seen to be ellipsoid and lightly punctate.

Also with this, clamp con. were obs in the surface hyphae. These details along with being white and on hardwood, points to the species of C. amygdalosporus.

This seems to be the white species from Los Trancos Preserve.
