Observation 56468: Lentaria Corner

When: 2010-10-19

Collection location: Diamond and Crater Lake, Oregon, USA [Click for map]

Who: Ron Pastorino (Ronpast)

No specimen available

There were plenty of these fruiting on humis but this pair was growing on a pine cone, maybe Ponderosa pine.
I wanted to call them Ramaria sueccica as they fit the description fairly well. However, while the spores were in the right range` 9.0-10.0 X 4.1-4.3 microns, they appeared quite smooth. That seems to put them into the Lentaria/Clavicorona arena. Could not get any further.
Since they appeared to be common, I may be missing something.
