Observation 57616: Hydnodon thelephorus (Lév.) Banker

Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: The only surviving picture of this find, which is a shame, because I’m sure I took several of my own (this one was taken with an old Sony Handycam). Smooth cap surface. Distinctively toothed underneath as the photo (barely) illustrates. Can’t remember the substrate. Guess away.

I must have missed this mass upload of Central American fungi. I agree, your link looks like a close fit. Do you not have an observation up for that one yet?
