Observation 57804: Tricholoma sulphureum (Bull.) P. Kumm.
When: 2010-10-30
No herbarium specimen
0 Sequences

Notes:
Growing in several places under conifers, near the building where the the collections were displayed at the OMS Fall Foray. Some had a distinct purple color at the lower end of the stem. The “coal gas” smell is definitely there. I learned that smell with a collection found on Mt. Hood earlier this year (observation 53766), but those mushrooms were much bigger.
