Extremely light, texture of styrofoam. When you drop a little piece it takes a long time to fall because it is very light compared to the size.

Spores perfectly round, 7.5 to 8.5 microns.

I belive Arcyria obvelata (Oeder) Onsberg. is the current name rather then Arcyria nutans (Bull.) Grev.
