Observation 5806: Agaricales sensu lato
When: 2007-12-29
Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: small mushroom, several scattered in leaf litter near base of strongbark
ST: 15-20×1.5mm, curvy, rubbery tough but bending, terete to strongly compressed, solid, cap-colored to whitish, much white cotton at base
CAP: 5-10mm wide, dome, tawny golden, solid, smooth, dull, slight umbo, margin slightly curled under, not striate
VEIL: none
GILL: whitish to sl yellish, attached to somewhat decurrent, close, shallow

Must be Marasmioid or Gymnopoid; if I assume Marasmius, mushroomexpert.com keys it to M. insipidus; I can’t find any keys online for Collybia sensu lato.
