Observation 58062: Lactarius serifluus (DC.) Fr.

Notes: Found in mixed woods, beach, birch, oak, locust, alder, pine, spruce…

These were found mostly under oak. This seems to be the best id, I think. They were mild taste, dry, almost felty cap, clear to very watery-whey latex that is unchanging, unstaining. I didn’t really remember any strong odor, but I seem to have forgotten to remark on any odor, so I don’t know.
