Observation 59177: Ramariopsis crocea (Pers.) Corner

When: 2010-11-18

Collection location: Langley, Washington, USA [Click for map]

Who: Sam Linse (BearwoodSam)

No specimen available

Found in forest duff in mixed coniferous and red alder forest. I tried to key this out, but really could not find one that fit. I’ve never seen a Ramaria (if that’s what it is) that is so orange. Also the stem is very small, just a few wispy things. Any ideas?
