Funny thing about that, that day I had visited a couple of trees that regularly produce Laetiporus. (Late on all unfortunately) Thinking back I’m not so sure this picture was from a eucalyptus. Guess that’s why I should post while it’s still fresh in my mind. Good to know though. Thanks for the lesson.

indicates L. gilbersonii, where growth on other hardwoods indicates L. sulphureus.

Is gilbertsonii just a name change for our local species? What is the significant difference?
