Make sure that your sections are as thin as possible. That will help the darkfield shots look really good.

A tenth of a millimeter is a good thickness.

Sometimes it helps to cut it on a very slight angle so one side of the section is extremely thin and the other side is rather thick. Then only mount the very thin part on the slide.

I’m not sure if they help any. This was my first attempt to use the darkfield attachment, I may need to experiment some as there are 3 separate darkfield rings, I need to determine which is best for what imaging.

Cool metuloid cheilocystidia.

If you set your camera to tungsten white balance the pics won’t come out as yellow.

Also it helps to crop, color correct, adjust the brightness and contrast, and unsharp mask the micrographs. Use the gimp or photoshop.

The pics will be clearest if you set the manual focus to infinity.

You’re right, there was some real interesting cells to be seen there.
I’ll need to do some better photography to show the most interesting stuff, I couldn’t really pick it up with a point and click camera.

Microscopy needed

Microscopy is needed to get most Inocybes to species. Luckily Inocybes are really cool to look at under the scope.

Indiscreet odour as well

These things really didn’t smell pleasant, rather spermatic.
