All the obs of longistrata here on MO, there are some remarkably noticeable variations to the entire look of this species. Some seem meatier in the cap, some seem so much smaller over all, some have noticeable striations (while others have none), some are hygrophanous. The skirted ring and it’s appearance of fragility differs widely here as well. Some are barely there and tiny in proportion to the entire size of the mushroom. This example’s annulus is skirted, longer, seems to my eye more like it could withstand being handled.
Very interesting to me.

Thanks Alan!
