Recognized by sight: Forest Green Mold. Aptly named. Found in soils world-wide, according to Paul Stamets. Common competitor mold for any fungi, but especially in damp soils. Alnus frequently inhabits damp soils.

Looks similar to T. viride.

Found in most soils world-wide. My experience has been only on infected space bags of other mushroom mycelia, though. Never seen such massive fruitings on what appear to be fungi.
