Found alone, growing from a hole in a decaying hardwood log, in mixed forest.

Pileus:
1.3cm broad, convex, covered with hairy spines or scales which are red-brown in color.
Red-brown in center fading to lighter brown towards the margin.
Flesh is creamy to yellow-brown (or tan) in color.

Lamellae:
Adnate to adnexed, close
Yellow, the edge of the lamellae are red-brown and appear rough to serrate

Stipe:
4cm long, .3cm wide, equal, hollow, with short, thick hairs or scales giving a “shaggy” appearance
Brown
Flesh is creamy to tan

Smell:
Pleasant-slightly sweet/Fungoid

Spore Print:
Cinnamon-brown

Spores:
Elliptic, some subglobose, appeared smooth, thick-walled
