Observation 6099: Lactarius manzanitae Methven

No herbarium specimen

Notes: A good-sized group fruiting in a manzanita thicket with valley oak above.
Pileus: bland taste, viscid, concentric rings. 3.5cm across.
Gills: adnexed, thin, close.
Stipe: narrow at apex and base,.7cm across at apex.
Latex white then slowly (about 5 minutes) turning pale yellow. Total height 3cm.
