Observation 6164: Hygrocybe singeri (A.H. Sm. & Hesler) Singer
When: 2008-01-23
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Solitary under Douglas fir, oak, madrone, bay. Gills pale yellow, stipe, pileus viscid and blackening. Viscid stipe led me to H. singeri rather than H. conica. Mykoweb calls H. conica subviscid—-I’m not sure of the distinction. This one felt mildly viscid.
