I did not do a spore check on this Bolete.It was growing in an Oak woods along a creek bottom and up a bank.There were actually several in varying degrees of decay or eaten.It did not stain on cutting and the flesh was sweet and nutty.And yes we ate em.:)

I did alot of reading on mycowalts ID and have to lean toward his recommendation.It fits all the characteristics but spore check.But thats not possible as we never did one.Thanks Mycowalt
