riparian winter scarlet cups

Hi Walt,

I find these winter scarlet cups exclusively along the banks of small streams. In the spring I find them higher up on the hillsides. It’s definitely fun to find colorful mushrooms in the middle of winter.

I seldom see this but I am seldom out looking in Jan. and Feb. I found it once in October. By late April it usually looks pretty bad.
