Recognized by sight: Base of stalk is not visible- so at this point not positive about Coprinus atrementaria. Remember base being thicker than most coprinus species though. and size is almost equal to a comatis.

Old images-I’ll track another down and add it soon. Should we call it Coprinus for now? Don’t want to misidentify it for others to use.

Do you have any photos showing the base of the stalk? That is a key feature for this species.
