Observation 62228: Gymnopilus luteofolius (Peck) Singer

Notes: Found growing on a gray pine (Pinus sabiniana) log, the largest specimen’s cap (Pictures 2 & 3) measures 18 cm across at the widest point. It was found gills up on the ground, presumably having fallen from the log from its own weight.
