Notes: Also called the lobster mushroom(common) this is one of my favorite fungi to cook with. Tons of gourmet restaurants will pay a pretty penny for these- just have to learn which russula the hypo are parasitizing. My favorite are the russula brevipes- or short stemmed white russula(these are much firmer and store in the fridge longer.

I have attached images of both the parasitized (lobster) and the russula host side by side.
