they are fairly common every year.

My hypothesis being that they are mostly overlooked.
Every season since the year that I learned it I have found more than 10 fruitbodies.

it has been a really good year for these mushrooms…

I found them in Oakland a month ago, several collections came into the FFSC Fair, and maybe SOMA camp, too?
