Observation 62590: Polyporus P. Micheli ex Adans.
When: 2011-01-20
Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: These fungi are also recorded on video. Found growing on the fallen nests of the ants known as Barba de San Pedro, in January of 2008, the local rainy season. Ive found no description of this in my searches, but welcome MO input. They are fleshy and almost rubbery, pores+/-4/mm uniformly white. Pleasant, yeasty, sweet aroma; it is eaten by the local people. Dried material at Herbario Nacional Boliviano UMSA, LaPaz Bolivia
