Observation 62608: Cortinarius subgenus Telamonia (Fr.) Trog

These were growing under Live Oak and probably the most common species I saw that day.
The caps were up to 6 cm across and in general all the specimens I found were fragile and not firm fleshed.
The spores were ~ 8.6-10.9 X 6.6-8.0 microns and somewhat roundish and rough.
