When: 2010-10-10

Collection location: near Cooper Point Rd., Olympia, Washington, USA [Click for map]

Who: Drew Henderson (Hendre17)

No specimen available

Fruiting from big leaf Maple (Acer macrophyllum) in abundance. Yellowish gills- starting with partial veil. Yellow to brown scales on stalk darkening as stem ages.

This season had multiple fruitings of this species from early October to late November near Copper point road in Olympia,WA. Not of good edible value and somewhat “greasy” tasting, in my opinion.
