Recognized by sight: This species has been parasitizing this shelf(Laetiporus conifericola) for a couple seasons in F lot at the evergreen state college. The name fosser translates directly to “clown”- I feel that the coloring of white, green and pink are indicative of clown attire, and are appropriate for the name.
