Notes: Yellow gills, fishy odor and pinkish stalk are indicators. I have collected specimens of R. xerampelina(in same patch) that have cap color variation from purple to green that are the same species and microscopically identical. Remember the first three indicators-these can be really tasty.
August-September is best time to find these at lake Cushman.
