If that’s a liquid exudate of some kind coming from the top of the fruiting body, I would venture a guess of something other than G. lucidum. Then again, the color seen along the sides just might fit the color scheme for the varnishing found on young Ganoderma spp. I don’t suppose there are any other pictures…

I wish I were able to give more information on this one. I lost a good amount of my notes on specimens from the past year or so that weren’t in a notebook.

I did see one site that had photos of G. lucidum that were similar to this but no descriptions. This specimen was near the base of an Acer tree in a cemetery.

It fits that description but I cant find pics of early stages.
